What better way to officially end the summer than a girls trip reunion with all your college besties to a cute fun place?
It’s been over 2 years since we all graduated college and our friend group is spread across a few states. As we’ve indicate navigated post grad life, we try and find time to all get together every so often— and this time we planned it out to meet up in Charleston, SC. It was so cute, so fun, and most of all a lot of good catching up time making even more memories.
To start out, we booked an AirBnB in North Charleston, close to the airport. I think if we would re-do the trip, we would select somewhere closer to walking distance to bars or cafes, but it definitely did the trick for accommodating all 9 of us. We got in at varying times Thursday evening, and headed out to King St. to check out the going out scene.
We grabbed a hot dog from a street vendor, and checked out Felix for a cocktail, then headed to the Republic Garden Bar (owned by Southern Charm), and Uptown Social and ended the night with the largest slice of pizza ever.
The following morning we woke up bright eyed and ready for a cute fun day with our UberEats coffee and a slow morning of getting ready all together. We all lived in our sorority house at one point together, so it was just like old times.
We headed to Leon’s Oyster Bar for lunch and walked a bit around King St. while we waited for our table. The wait. Was. Worth it! Everything we had was amazing from the froze to the shrimp po boy and tuna dip, all so good. Great start to the Charleston food.
We made our way down King St. and meandered through the shops, taking breaks in the stores sitting areas, along the way down to Rainbow Row.
I wore my lobster set I had been waiting for the best occasion to wear as a land locked girl who works a 9-5 in Arkansas, and was so excited I got to wear before the summer ended. I felt that the lobsters were very Charleston, as I told a store owner, and she told me there were no lobsters in Charleston..nonetheless! I thought they were the perfect outfit at such a steal of a price.
Making it to Rainbow Row, we snagged a few pics before Ubers were called.
After a quick outfit change back at the house we headed back down King St. to 167 Raw. We came to Charleston for a long weekend in college once and this was our by far fav restaurant of the trip, so we had to repeat. Of course, we snagged some pics while waited for our table, too!
And we finished the night at Henry’s— such a fun spot with multiple floors with live music!
Our last day we woke up and got ready to head to Sullivan’s Island to lay eyes on the beach. We got a burger at Poe’s Tavern before walking down the beach! We walked to some local shops and got a coffee at the Coop — another place we visited our previous trip, their froze is delish!
After another outfit change and watching the Razorback game, we met back up together at the Saltwater Cowboy. Another fun spot!! The views were so good, food was good, and vibes were great with a dockside DJ.
We ended the night back at Henry’s and headed to the airport a short bit later for our red eye flight home. This trip was too fun! But the best was seeing the girlies!!!
