Twas the last day of summer yesterday as I spent on the couch taking care of my now wisdomless teeth boyfriend, I rounded up my favorite summer fits. I am feeling very fortunate to have gotten to bounce around a bit this summer with friends, family, and solo, and I am who tends to prioritize outfit planning for trips just as much if not more than the actual booking of trips. I thought I’d share a round up of links + detes of my 2024 fav summer outfits!
A recent fav I’ve been shamelessly outfit repeating into early Fall has been this gem of a Dillard’s sale find vest (with sequins and feathers, was on sale for maybe $20 in the accessories and scarves area last December) with a white tank, long jean shorts, and platform shoes. Shamelessly outfit repeating here as I am shamelessly wearing white a smidge after Labor Day.
The pink Ganni coverup — I searched high and low for this sold out piece from last summer and finally found on Poshmark. I have just been loving specific older styles that are, of course, not readily available, so I’ve really enjoyed when I find the hard-to-find through searching the resell sights.
I sized up to a large, partly because that’s what was available, but also I’m glad I did because it hangs just right. I think it’s cute for a coverup, but also layered for a day outfit.
You know when at the beginning of summer you’re scrolling through all latest swimsuits trying to decide which one to splurge on for the season? This Zimmermann bikini was mine this year. I was obsessed! So obsessed that I ordered it last minute for a trip to Florida and quite literally had to go to a pick up point to get the package on the way to the airport. But, it matched the Lorna Murray hat I found and my knit cover up Zara pants from last year. Threw on a DIY shell necklace and I was set for Florida!!! (Taylor’s Version).
Lots of catching flights this summer! My two favorite travel fits + pieces I mixed and matched with were two makeshift sets — I.E. I matched a matching tank top to this long gray knit maxi skirt (which originally felt very 2010) and yellow linen PJ pants (that were not worn as PJs, but as a beachy lightweight pant).

These thrifted terry cloth yellow and white shorts were a fav early summer, and paired with a yellow and stripe headband from Free People + Free People yellow and white sunnies and a white linen shirt.
The horse dress!! My bestie girls trip to Aspen and Vail was the perfect occasion for the horse dress I had screenshotted for months prior to then being stored in my closet waiting for the right time to be worn. I kid you not, after I finally wore the awaited $25 Forever21 dress I was so excited about, Anthropologie released a $200 horse dress — sadly, F21’s has been sold out for over a year, but here’s the link to Anthro’s here.
My outfit to Aspen was a Reformation dupe my friend Natalie and I schemed up — instead of spending $250 on an identical set, she told me about this top at Pacsun for under $30 and I found a skort to go right along with it. The link to my dupe set is here, the link to Reformation’s set is here. I did however splurge on these Free People woven knee highs I had had my eyes on. I am a major boots girl, and got so many compliments on these, I feel like I will be able to wear to many different occasions to get my cost per wear down.
My last Free People moment of the summer was a set I snagged on sale for $50 that I have actually gotten to wear a few different times and ways. I paired the set with a sweater for the brisk Colorado summer weather, just as is after a day at the beach in Wilmington, NC, and the shorts with a black tank for a local concert.
The bag of the summer was my neon green Marni that was yet another “last seasons” style I searched high and low for, and found on Poshmark.
Had to dress for the sunshine this summer, too! These sun pants were the cutest find at a local boutique, B.Styled. I’ve worn to work, date night, and as a cover up. Just as I am a big boots girl, I am also a big statement pants girl- I love to circle these big statement pieces back through years later.
A piece I was excited for summer for but didn’t get to wear as much as I had hoped were these Hand Over shorts. Excited to wear them into the fall, but not super impressed with the quality for the price.
Tis the cover up season and cover ups I wore! I was grateful to get to visit a few different beaches sporadically though the summer during various trips. Never a long time, but always a good time!
My Fourth of July coverup fit was a fav for sure. A J Crew cover up + H&M striped bikini + old Zara top + Stradivarius striped purse, oldie but goodie Anthro hat and Free People platforms, this one goes down as one of my favs for sure (yhough sadly every piece is sold out, so unable to link).
Can’t forget to mention the infamous Lobster 2piece! A middle-of-the-night Pinterest scrolling purchase that took a month to come in, buttt I love it. I held on to wear for the right timing and my end of summer college friends reunion girl trip to Charleston was the time and the place for the lobsters to play. I borrowed a friend’s Marni and a friend’s shoes and there was the fit!
One last roundup of the beachy bloggie fits— clearly a lover of stripes. From an Anthro duper romper to my maxi cardigan to a classic stripe beach towel.
