FALL NYFW INSPO
NYFW! OMG!
I’ve been watching from afar down in AR at all the New York Fashion Week glory. With all my fomo, I grabbed my talented photographer friend Diego Escobar and we got creative. Tezza’s pics, as always, inspire me like no other. Her NYFW posts were all about statement pants, angles, city background, and bold poses.
Everything I wore was already in my closet for this shoot. My I.AM.GIA. Polaris Pants have been one of my favorite go-to statement pieces I own since I bought them from Revolve almost two years ago. I paired them with an orange bodysuit and shaggy cardigan, both from Forever21. My sparkle chunky chelsea boots were from ASOS I bought almost a year ago, and my boxy sunglasses were thrifted. I found the heart earrings at Zara this past summer and have already worn them so much.
Two big color trends reporters have posted to expect in the coming fall season are orange and silver, so it was perfect that this outfit consisted of both. If you know me or have followed me for any amount of time, I’m sure you have caught on to my love for orange. I feel like most either love it or hate it, but I for one am happy that orange is #in.
Silver is suppose to be big this season, not only with metallic pieces but also just plain silver. Th reflecting look is sleek and fresh, and I can definitely see it being worn in day to day wear rather than just night out or formal wear.
A few other big trends are hair pieces. This past summer, any blogger could tell you about the thick, pearled headbands grown women were wearing. Headbands were my thing back in sixth grade, so I was definitely hesitant to partake on this trend. But, I ordered an Amazon white headband with multi colored pearls (because go hard or go home with the little-girl geared trend) and I have really liked it! It looks so cute on my blogger and friends and though I don’t choose to wear it often, the headband trend is def here to stay (for now).
Along with headbands, hair clips will stay and the bigger the better in NYFW standards. Pearl accents were big and tiny braids as well as slick back middle parts are everywhere.
And as far as fall fashion goes, plaid and boxy fits are a must, as well as chunky platform soles. The usual.
I can’t wait to see what people actually wear when the temperatures start dropping, but for now I will keep looking to the iconic streetwear happening now in New York.
