HOUSE DETAILS
Only five months late, I have house details to share! Where no color is left unshown and no square foot is left undecorated, welcome to our first (and only) little college house. We live in Fayetteville, AR, in a three bedroom house. Grace, Kendall, and I love color, bedazzles, smileys, and details. In the age of minimalist style growing, let’s hear it for those proud maximalists :D.
To be brief with the detes, I wanted to share where I found the pieces that make up our house. From DIY to thrift, to parents house to direct stoppable links (click here!) , here we go!
MY ROOM:
Bedding: My white duvet cover is my simple base with minor details of tied bows at the foot end of the bed. I had such a hard time in August finding bedding I liked, and so don’t be surprised if I change it all before our lease is up. But, I do like it for now! The rainbow quilt is thrifted, love the solid rainbow vertical stripe, and love a crochet. The puffer quilt at the foot of my bed is sooo cute, from one of my top fav small business' The Boho Boutique in Fayetteville. The quilt is a twin, and designed by a small artist. My pillow shams are all old, but I covered my two euro pillows with a cut out of a crochet blanket found at Funky Fayetteville Finds. My yellow throw pillow is an oldie HomeGoods find, and Calvin Klein brand. The rainbow crochet pillow was a gift from my sister in law from a local artist, and the smile pillow is from Boho Boutique.
Wall: My wall! Came to life after quite a few purchases of wrapping paper from gift stores in Colorado to a few trips to Paper Source, and of course Presley Paige. I also have used a few PR packaging cut outs from Parade and Frankie’s Bikinis. I thrifted a few granny squares and have them spread out among the wall. I printed a few prints at different sizes, but did not want it to be just people/normal life pictures all over the wall. My inspo was the Tezza Collage Kit, but make it large sizes and rainbow designs. I also added three white light clouds from Ikea that I don’t have plugged in, just for looks.
Lighting: I used a floor lamp from my parents house, and still am wanting to paint or bedazzle it but still have yet to decide how I want to go about it. I thrifted the lamp shade, and still am wondering if I can get away with painting the shade. If anyone has tried spray painting a jacquard lampshade please let me know if that is a good idea :D. I also have a turquoise lamp from Target that my boyfriend’s sister actually let me use this past summer when I moved to LR and did not have a lamp lol. I recently bedazzled the base, but want to bedazzle the rest. Thinking of adding feathers to the shade but we shall see.
Furniture: My side table is a find from HomeGoods, that holds my bedazzled lamp, floral Gucci coaster from Presley Paige, blue glass butterfly from Boho Boutique, and neon painted cat from San Antonio, TX. My desk is I am guessing a media table I thrifted for I think $23 and wanted to paint a neon yellow green chartreuse, but ended up with lime green which I grew to like. It has roll out shelves and the whole thing is on wheels and it is just a great find. I have a red side table by my mirror that holds my makeup which is so old from my parents, and on top of it I have my rainbow Christmas tree that was a sample they didn’t need anymore from my internship this past summer. I luv my tree. My little stool is also Boho Boutique from the same small artist that designed my puffer quilt. The side table by my desk is so pretty and thrifted! Wish I could find a link.

Rainbow Trees: Kendall DIYed sooo good with her rainbow sparkly trees! She cut circles out of paper, rolled and taped, painted, and sparkled. They’re so good! The red buffet matches my red side table in my room and is old from my parents. The mirror and butterfly art is from Kendall!
Upstairs area: Our banner wall! The smiley banner was from our Bid Day 2 years ago and hung in Grace and I’s room in Tri Delt last year. Among the wall there hangs quite a few big pieces we thought we could put all together to decorate. We have a desk and lamps and that’s about it. Our laundry is right there, too, and our upstairs bathroom is actually kind of sad as we have not given it quite the love it deserves yet.
Closet: My first time color coordinating my closet and I still feel like I can’t find all my clothes lol. But, I do agree it looks pretty this way! I typically have my clothes organized by type (aka pants together, sweaters together, etc.). I put my smiley rug from Amazon in the Bloggie Factory (closet) and have little happy things taped to my shelves. Also, I still have quite a bit of stuff at my parents house in my closet there, and I have always been addicted to cleaning out my closet.. sooo haha.
Rug: My orange hexagon rug was an Insta Ad that stuck with me over the summer from Rugs.com. I added DIY orange fringe to the foot of my bed base to add some detail to the floor level.
Mirror: I bought a sink industrial mirror at Lowe’s and ordered white feather trim (had to buy two) from Amazon to border the mirror. Love a good floor length mirror and would actually love a full wall of mirror if I could one day. I hung my hats above my mirror.
Small tings: I have my DIY disco ball punch bowl on my shelves, as well as small ornament disco balls piled together on top of a bedazzled gift box my friends gave me. I also have a blue dress vase with blue pompous grass sticking out thrifted from Fayetteville Funky Finds. I have a DIY pompom tree, next to a glass Christmas tree (Dillard’s) next to a beaded deer (TJ Maxx) next to mini glass tree (Target) and strung a disco ball garland (Walmart). I also have a green feathered wall decor that was on sale for maybe $11 from HomeGoods, but could def by DIYed. Thinking of adding something to the middle. I have a little art piece from my artist roomie Grace, surrounded by little stickers and a few Christmas cards I felt I related to (mainly the Merry little Meltdown) from the best Presley Paige. I also have a bust from Anthropolgie, as well as two mushroom candles from Anthro.
Shelves: My wall shelves are acrylic from Amazon, and I order two sets of two. The middle holds my rainbow mirror from Earthbound, with a garland and Christmas trees. Rainbow tabletop Christmas tree is from Belk, green felt and pink ones are Presley Paige, blue is Target. I have my earrings in acrylic drawers from Target, and a Lucky Cat light from Dolls Kill as well as a rainbow snoglobe that was a cutie gift. My top shelf has my two acrylic sunglass holders. I loved attaching feathers to the shelves to add a little something. I also got my first and only record, Rainbow Kitten Surprise (the bestttt) and have a little shelf for the record.
Stairs: Not too much there, but last Christmas my mom found rainbow construction paper from the 70s and we made colored paper chain for my Christmas tree. Now I have three chunks of the chains, and have used them so much. The chains line our stairs and another piece is on our downstairs tree.
Kitchen: We always have decor on our island, including our mushroom planter from Boho boutique and now some Christmas Trees. I love our plant picks that are balloon intials for the three of us: MGK (Machine Gun Kelley, of course). The rainbow disco is painted by artist Grace. And we do have two coffee machines bc yeah! We have a “Had Me at Hello” banner from this past year of recruitment at Tri Delta, and our Christmas Tree with our DIY pompom smiley tree topper from Kendall. We also have lotsss of garlands between the three of us, so we have a designated garland wall by our table and bar cart.
Living Room: Our living room is super small, but is open to our kitchen. We have a rainbow gallery wall full of lots of random rainbow things donated from all three of us. Our rug is also from Rugs.com, and denim couch is from my parents. Zebra table is a must from Kendall, and our trees and candles live there. We attached some Presley Paige garland to our TV, and mr. giraffe resides above (and is dressed for the holiday season). Grace thrifted our lip loveseat from 410 Vintage in Fayetteville.
