Hi.

not too shabby January

January and February are usually just the worst. But! This January was not too shabby!

That just might have had something to do with being traveling around Europe for the first week of 2023, but going back to work and the solid gray cold weather hasn’t been too bad with little happy outings on the weekends and after 5.

Got invited to Olive & June’s launch party celebrating their launch with Walmart! It was such a cute night hosted at 21C— where they had photo ops, drinks and apps, lots of nail polish, stickers, tools, and press ons, and even nail techs where we could get our a fresh mani. I’ve already enjoyed my nail polish remover pot (linked here!) and can’t wait to try Valentine specific press ons for Luv month <3.

I re-wore a past NYFW outfit— yellow sheer midi was an $8 find at Ross with Circus by Sam Edelman knee highs. Special guest appearance was my latest big-girl purchase: my swirl Gucci purse 👛.

Some other outings!

The Momentary’s latest pink and girly and maximalist exhibit— we even spotted Spongebob and found fake eyelashes glued to the canvas. My friend Natalie and I finally got the chance to visit, which always entails a stop at the pink Onyx (that’s open all year long) and of course lots of pics around the temporary exhibit. Yvette Mayorga is the artist. I went for a bow and pink look by adding some ribbon to my hair and boot shoe laces.

My friends and I puzzled a bit with homemade cocktails with pink *sparkly* Ping House Alchemy “Magic Potion” Syrup, linked here, and celebrated a bday 🎂. I always struggle with night-out looks, but loved wearing my Bruce Glen rainbow jeans out with a black leather top.

With all the New Year, New Me resolutions, one of my big ones was to be a more purposeful purchaser— and by doing so keep up better with timely returns and subscriptions, which sounds all great and all except I forgot to cancel my Rent the Runway subscription. SO, I had some fun styling some super unique, way out of my budget pieces during the long grey month that is January.

Below are 4 pieces I had for my first half, and the 2nd half is in the mail for this upcoming weekend.

I love RTR’s purses! I got the Cleo Embroidered Clutch from Lele Sadoughi which I loved. I also got the green Georgia Rachel Antonoff set which was just presh but def not for the January weather. Lastly, was the Stine Goya Francis dress, which was so unique and pink.

More NWA moments— most spotted in some form of Tiktok nwa day/wknd in the life vlogs.

Savoy Tea Co. was a must after coming back from London to give my mom a taste of the cutsie tea dates abroad. Our tea and tea cookies that came on a cute platter and tea pot was a total of $10– which is a such a steal and fun and different activity in NWA.

Coffee! Always down for coffee. Summer Moon is still relatively new to NWA and so yum with the moon milk. I also frequented Confident Coffee quite a bit and tried the most amazing brownie with peanut butter frosting that I might have come back for a second one.

Visited Presley Paige’s new location which is nothing but cute and full of all new types of pieces and gifts.

Bliss Cupcake was a special excursion after a long work day and you can’t not go without bringing a dog cupcake back for your pup.

Pop up shops! Been trying to stay in the know of up and coming events in the area to change up the scene. My Instagram friend @turkishtrunk invited me to her warehouse sale of unique and vintage rugs from Turkey. I did find a bright and woven piece for my next apartment and I am so excited.

January probably wasn’t too shabby due to starting the New Year off in Europe, yeah probably had something to do with it! Link to the blog post here, and entire outfit details here!
