SUMMER CONCLUSION+CATCH ALL
Long time no blog! Over the summer, as my recent posts have shown, I interned at Dillard’s Corporate Buying office in Little Rock, Arkansas for 9 weeks. I relocated to LR for the summer, and while I wasn’t working in classic corporate fashion , 8-5, I enjoyed exploring the city’s restaurants, neighborhoods, natural destinations, coffee shops, and shops themselves. Over the summer, I also visited Colorado Springs and Estes Park the week prior to my internship starting, and made a hand full of weekend trips to see friends from Dallas to Tulsa to back home in Fayetteville. Once my internship ended, I packed up my car and headed straight to my first ever house-of-my-own for the school year. Recruitment at the University of Arkansas started immediately, with Work Week happening first, which took up the past two solid weeks which catches us up to date: my last first week of class!
This semester, I am finishing my minor in Marketing as my undergrad degree in Apparel Merchandising and Product Development finished up over the summer with my internship credit I received. I will be graduating in December, and TBH at first (and kinda still) not ready at all, but working out the kinks and getting a plan (my enneagram 4 wing 3 so desperately needs) together to get the life I always have wanted and worked so hard for! Hoka’s, because you can hardly be a U of A student (and especially now my first time living off campus and hiking the hills from parking) and not own a good pair of Hoka’s.
Taking it back to my business casual/professional wardrobe I grew before and throughout the summer for my internship, I made a TikTok of my favorite outfits I put together. I tried to stick to myself and my own personal taste though remaining professionally dressed, which lead to monochrome looks and bright colors and platforms over heels most days of the week. To finish up summer and ring in this all in one and one for all type of blog post, I wanted to show Monochrome Maggie yellow look. I loved the slip styled dress top with the corresponding pants look, and the bow heels were just a must. I was thinking of saving this outfit for Vegas girl trip later this semester but decided with my college time fleeting I need to wear the outfit more often and live more in the moment.
